RIHS Activities

 

 

Every Tuesday morning assembly, there are speeches by students from each category. The speeches are in dzongkha in order to uplift and promote our national language. A gift and a certificate are awarded for the best speaker at the end of every semester.

Dr Chencho Dorjee, Director of the RIHS and Ms Anchalee Chamchuklin of the Information Management and Dissemination Unit, WHO Regional Office for South-East Asia at the RIHS Health Promotion Field site in Thimphu, Bhutan.

RIHS and WHO maintain several technical collaboration initiatives between the two organizations.

 

 

 

"Health Mind, Health body”. Three days a week, staffs of RIHS stay back after office to exercise both their minds and bodies. Staff take part in chigong -the Chinese philosophy and practice of aligning breath, physical activity on Mondays, yoga and aerobics on Wednesdays and meditation on Fridays.

 

 

 

Institutional Repository (IR) Workshop at the RIHS. This is the first time an institutional repository workshop is organized in Bhutan.

 

Objective structured clinical/practical examination (OSCE/OSPE)

A student taking part in Objective structured clinical/practical examination (OSCE/OSPE). OSCE/OSPE is one of the methods of evaluation used in RIHS.

 

 

Minster of Health’s talk on Leadership and Communication

 

 

Every once in a while during Tuesday morning assembly the RIHS auditorium gets filled with raucous laughers. This is putting into practice “Laughter is the best medicine”. Lead by the Director, the staff and students take in deep cleansing breath and burst out laughing, sending out all negative emotions. And thus the week begins -with positive frame of mind!
